New Straits Times – LKL International Partners iWOW Technology To Distribute Contact Tracing Tokens

KUALA LUMPUR: LKL International Bhd’s subsidiary, LKL Advance Metaltech Sdn Bhd
(LAMSB) has partnered with iWOW Technology Pte Ltd (ITPL) for potential collaboration
in the marketing and development of Covid-19 contact tracing tokens in Malaysia and
internationally.

LKL, which is in the business of medical/healthcare beds, peripherals and accessories,
would also obtain the rights from ITPL to commercialise, market, sell and distribute trace
token in Malaysia over a 24-month period.

The trace token is a small physical device that securely automates contact tracing by
detecting other devices via bluetooth facilitating digital contact tracing efforts in response
to Covid-19.

Established in 1999, Singapore-based ITPL is a global Internet of Things (IoT) technology
provider specialising in smart tracking, smart metering and other smart nation solutions,
will be manufacturing and supplying the trace token.
LKL managing director Lim Kon Lian said the company is bringing an innovative and
proven technology to track and contain the Covid-19 virus with the introduction of trace
token locally.

“This device also serves as a viable alternative to mobile applications, and can be
marketed to a wide range of users including public healthcare, commercial entities, as well
as private users,” he said in a statement today.
He said the collaboration strengthens the company’s product portfolio as a leading
manufacturer and distributor of diverse medical and healthcare solutions in Malaysia.

“We would continue enhancing the comprehensiveness of our product portfolio as we aim
to play a more integral role in helping the nation overcome the pandemic,” he added.
